Job Coach - On Call
San Francisco (Hearing and Deaf)
Purpose: To supervise and train a crew of adults with disabilities in vocational skills and appropriate work habits.
Reports to: Assistant Director of Employment Services
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in teaching/supervising adults with disabilities in a vocational setting preferred.
- American Sign Language, Spanish or Cantonese preferred (some level of fluency for certain target populations may be required).
- Ability to work flexible hours may be required.
- First Aid certification.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently; Must have full range of motion in upper body; bending and lifting required.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing group supervision and task training to client workers.
- Responsible for providing ongoing support to clients, including destination training, money management and other needed support services.
- Maintaining client progress data and evaluate client skills, including time studies.
- Responsible for completing all required documentation, including monthly billing reports, case notes and additional case records.
- Responsible for maintaining confidentiality.
- Attend all required meetings and in-services.
- Responsible for maintaining a professional relationship with referral sources, employers, parents, care providers and appropriate others.
- Perform quality control inspections of project area as requested.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.
