Community Involvement

Community Integration

Increase your job skills. Develop relationships. Access your community.

Our community integration services are community-based activities for Regional Center clients. Services run from 9:00AM-3:00PM Monday through Friday at sites throughout the community. By engaging in volunteer or paid work, credit and noncredit college classes, creating art, working in community gardens, and other activities, you can open up your world.

Project SEARCH

Get into the field and start working.

Internships are one of the best ways to gain job skills and make connections to employers.

Toolworks offers internships under the innovative Project SEARCH model, which facilitates job training for people with disabilities at rotations within large employers. We identify the tasks and departments most suited to your abilities and we provide an on-site trainer to help as you work through your rotations. Part of each intern’s day is a work skills class to help you develop worksite proficiencies and the soft skills you need to be successful in employment.

Internships give you with the opportunity to learn valuable skills and prove your capabilities through your work performance.

Get connected to internship opportunities. Contact Vera Honen at info@toolworks.org.
