Recycling Account Manager

Position Title: Recycling Account Manager

San Francisco has the most ambitious indicatives in the nation to become Zero Waste by 2020. We are seeking someone passionate about waste management who can lead the crews of sorters at our Recyclability sites. We are partnering with Recology, San Francisco Department of Environment and property managers throughout the Bay Area to assist them with their onsite waste management operations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Toolworks is looking for a Recycling/Janitorial Account Manager needed to provide support to contracts in San Francisco. Candidates should have excellent customer service skills, the ability to effectively supervise a diverse staff, and provide quality control for recycling and janitorial services.   

Management 

  • Supervise diverse staff at multiple sites 
  • Conduct quality control for recycling and janitorial services 
  • Travel between contract sites to oversee services 
  • Maintain existing and develop new accounts 
  • Ensure Safety training and compliance at multiple sites 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 

Education and Work Experience  

  • High school diploma or equivalent with some college or technical school coursework preferred 
  • Minimum of 2 years of account supervisory experience 
  • Minimum of 1 years hands on experience recycling and/or providing janitorial services  
  • Ability to travel between multiple work sites in San Francisco 
  • Ability to work evening or weekend hours when needed to service accounts 
  • Excellent customer service skills 

Organizational (all staff) 

  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings and retreats as required 
  • Comply with current agency performance standards 
  • Report changes in criminal or employment status on a timely basis 
  • Represent the organization to visitors and the community as needed 
  • Maintain a professional attitude, working cooperatively with other staff, clients and members of the community 
  • Maintain confidentiality of client/staff information as required by law and agency policy 
  • Treat clients and co-workers with dignity and respect

Janitorial Crew Supervisor (San Francisco)

  • Supervises: Client Workers
  • Status / Level: Exempt
  • Purpose: To provide supervision and training of clients/workers and follow up on special projects, as well as perform janitorial work as needed.
  • Starts: Immediately

Duties and Responsibilities:

Janitorial Functions:

  • Supervise any task or special project as assigned by the Project Manager
  • Maintain and monitor supplies and equipment
  • Provide supervision and janitorial skills training for client-employees.
  • Perform janitorial work such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, bathroom cleaning, and dusting.

 Administrative Functions:

  • Conduct quality assurance inspections and follow-up as needed
  • Performs and document quality control inspections of project area, customer satisfaction surveys, and records of all client trainings
  • Work directly with GSA representatives to fulfill contractual obligations and resolve problems and act as a liaison in the absence of the Project Manager
  • Maintain records through various computer and internet quality control systems

Other Duties as Required

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

 Education and Experience Requirement:

  • B.A. in Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling or related field preferred
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working with adults with disabilities required, preferably in a community setting
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check

Skills requirement:

  • American Sign Language, Spanish or Cantonese skills preferred. Some level of fluency for certain target populations may be required
  • Fluent report writing skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet client needs
  • Able to recognize unusual or threatening conditions related to persons with disabilities
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong time management skills, patient, detail oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Community Living Instructor(Live-In) ASL fluency Required

Pleasanton, Full-time

  • Status / Level: Non-Exempt
  • Purpose: To provide instruction and support to people with disabilities in acquiring and maintaining community living skills to promote independence.
  • Starts: Immediately

Duties and Responsibilities

This Live-In position entails supporting a female who is deaf in her home in Pleasanton. Fluency in ASL is required

  • Home is in Old Downtown area of Pleasanton close to 680 freeway and public transportation
  • Proficient knowledge in American Sign Language
  • Experience/knowledge working with individuals who are deaf and who have Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities preferred
  • Current schedule is either Sunday through Thursday 6p to 10am (10p-6a are sleep shifts) or Monday through Friday 6pm-10am (10p-6a are sleep shifts). Days and hours are somewhat flexible. Additional overnights/shift work available if interested.

Client Support Functions

  • Teach functional skills to people with disabilities including: meal preparation, shopping, hygiene, budgeting, safety awareness, and maintaining a clean and healthy living environment.
  • Instruct clients in researching and accessing community resources to reach their goals and increase independence.
  • Travel train clients using the mode of transportation suited to each individual based on their abilities.
  • Educate clients on their rights and self-advocacy.
  • Recognize unusual or threatening conditions related to persons with disabilities and resolve issues if necessary.

This Live-In position entails supporting a female who is deaf in her home in Daly City. Fluency in ASL is required

  • Home is in Daly City, close to Colma BART, public transportation and 280 freeway
  • Proficient knowledge in American Sign Language
  • Experience/knowledge working with individuals who are deaf and who have Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities preferred
  • Current schedule: Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday 6-8am & 6-10pm and 10pm to 6am (sleeping shifts). There is some flexibility in days/hours
  • Additional overnights/shift work available if interested.

Client Support Functions
