Janitorial Accounts Manager

  • Reports to: Assistant Director of ​Janitorial Services
  • Supervises: Lead Janitors/Janitors
  • Status / Level: Exempt
  • Purpose: On-site contract administration, customer services, operations support and personnel management for environmental services contract in IT/Tech industry. Provide customer driven, seamless support to building operations which creates a pristine environment for building employees and guests.
  • Starts: Immediately

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Management 
• Ensure smooth interface with customers’ operations team and delivery of excellent customer service 
• Manage daily janitorial operations for customer with prompt response time to service calls 
• Regularly inspect and report maintenance issues to building operations 
• Manage the scheduling of all janitors, lead janitors, janitorial supervisors for each building location 
• Manage the training for all members of the janitorial crew 
• Manage the quality control system for each building 
• Manage all contractual obligations with building management resolving issues as they arise and plan for any and all additional work and service requests 
• Provide direct support to crew as needed to carry out service obligations 

Administrative Skills 
• Creates and maintains quality control inspection reports 
• Order all supplies and uniforms for the building site 
• Maintains schedule, works with HR to ensure adequate staffing of contract 
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner: scheduling, payroll, timings, janitor evaluations, customer satisfaction surveys, and employee relations documents as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience Requirement 
• B.A. in Management or related field preferred. 
• Minimum of two years’ experience working in facilities management or maintenance 
• Volunteer or work experience with adults with disabilities required, preferably in a community setting, highly desired Human Resources 

Skills requirement 
• American Sign Language, Spanish or Cantonese skills preferred. Some level of fluency for certain target populations may be required. 
• Fluent report writing skills 
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet client needs. 
• Able to recognize unusual or threatening conditions related to persons with disabilities 
• Supervisory experience preferred 
• Strong time management skills, patient, detail oriented 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 

Program requirements 
• Fingerprint background check (Child Abuse Index, Criminal Record Clearance) 
• First Aid/CPR certification required (within 30 days)
