Sr. Director Facility Services Unit

  • Supervises: Assistant Directors, Project Managers, Accounts Manager
  • Status / Level: Exempt
  • Purpose: To effectively manage and grow Toolworks facility services.

Toolworks, in partnership with people with disabilities, is a human service agency dedicated to providing the tools and resources that promote independence, equality, and personal satisfaction. Toolworks provides a number of programs including: job placement and training, community integration, and supported living services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Management

  • Manage operations for all Toolworks’ janitorial and recycling contracts
  • Manage the marketing for and growth of new janitorial and recycling contracts: site visits, walk-thrus, proposal bids, scope of work, and staffing
  • Manage the financial integrity of the department including cash flow and budgeting, making adjustments as warranted
  • Manage all aspects of quality control for all environmental services contracts
  • Manage all aspects of janitorial services legal compliance: CARF, NISH, GSA, DOL, ensuring that all legal contractual requirements, regulations and policies are implemented accordingly
  • Manage the time of the department staff to ensure good workflow and productivity- ensure adequate staffing and training to personnel

Administrative

  • Ensure the collection of business operations data and completion of subsequent reporting
  • Audit environmental services functions regularly
  • Complete all required contractual reporting: NISH, GSA, DOL and other necessary contractual related reporting

Other duties as required

Education and Experience Requirement

  • A. in Business Management or a closely related field
  • Minimum five (5) years experience working in Building Management
  • Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience
  • Experience in Contract Management, Procurement, Bidding, and Budget Preparation

Skills requirement

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • ASL skills strongly preferred.
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written skills
